I recently attended a virtual conference called Get Organized HQ. It was really helpful, and came at a time of year when I feel motivated to deep clean and organize the house!
I really enjoyed the Quiet Time Baskets and Garage Organization in Get Organized HQ.
Lindsay Griswold led the Quiet Time Baskets session.
I thought this was going to be on something like Breakfast Invitations from Days with Grey (a screen-free way to start the day with young kids), but it was about preparing for quiet / devotional time. It was excellent!! Lindsay showed us what she keeps in her personal basket and how she organizes her Bibles, notes, and written prayers. She also showed us different baskets for her kids, and what resources she has used with them at different ages/ developmental levels. It was wonderfully helpful in thinking about what I can do with my daughter. I love Lindsay’s aesthetic and started following her on Instagram @lindsaywondrousthings
I also ordered an Everything Tote from JennDhandcrafted on Etsy in the black and white wonky dot with aqua handles. Can’t wait until it comes in so I can organize my stuff, instead of having it spread out all over the kitchen table like always!
Lisa Trigsted led the Garage Organization session.
The main takeaway from this session was to pull EVERYTHING out of the garage, organize by areas it will be stored in, then put it back into the garage. The goal is being able to park in there.
Our garage is kind of my nemesis…it seems to take constant maintenance and organization. So we need to just take a Saturday to dedicate to this and maybe the maintenance won’t be so…tiresome. And my car will have it’s home back lol.
I’m looking forward to attending again next year!
