Right now I’m listening to All My Knotted Up Life by Beth Moore. Beth Moore narrates the audiobook, and reads section based on the earlier years in a more Arkansas twang, depicting how she would have sounded in that time. I love that.
This seems to be a huge two weeks in publishing- Embers in the London Sky by Sarah Sundin came out on February 6. I read an ARC and highly recommend it (see my review here).
The Women by Kristin Hannah and The Unchartered Flight of Olivia West by Sara Ackerman were also released on February 6. I am not-so-patiently waiting for those library holds to come in.
I pre-ordered Jamie Ivey’s new book, Why Can’t I Get It Together?: Kick Unrealistic Expectations to the Curb and Rest in God’s Truth. It releases on February 13. I love her podcast, the Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey. She interviews Christian authors and speakers. It is so encouraging. I especially loved her Encounter with Jesus series last summer. It’s why I read Women Who Risk (see my post here). Jamie Ivey is part of the (best) reason why my TBR is so long 🙂
Untangle Your Emotions by Jennie Allen also looks good! It also releases on February 13.
TBR Update- TBR spreadsheet
I’m slowly working on migrating my TBR list from Apple Notes and Storygraph to a TBR spreadsheet I created. I have a long list of library holds I’m constantly adding to for books that I have to read right now.
I like separating out my ginormous TBR list into categories, because I am becoming a mood reader…so if I’m in the mood for another memoir, it’ll be MUCH easier to decide which one to read next.
I’m also noting where I heard about a book, so I can eventually see my most trusted sources of recommendations.
