I could not put this book down!

Some of the slight historical inaccuracies bothered me, but it was fast moving and an insightful look at what both Elizabeth AND Philip may have felt during their courtship. It included a sympathetic take on what it could have been like for Philip to all of a sudden be apart of the royal family. This was my favorite plot line of the book.

Age Recommendation:

Before the Crown is PG enough for the middle and high school classroom library!! Another great way of learning history through books.
