Students may need to email their teachers about grades, questions about assignments, upcoming or past absences, or other issues they may not feel comfortable bringing up in class. We want to hear from you!
Please do so respectfully.
Here’s How:
Do not use slang (we may not understand it) 😉
Include your first and last name, course name, and “Questions about Assignments (fill in the blank)”
Be specific!
Make sure to end by saying something like:
“Thank you for your time,
(first and last name)”
Feedback on Assignments
If you think you included a requirement that your teacher missed, ask “For assignment __, I tried to include 2 specific pieces of evidence (please see highlighted screenshot below). Is this sufficient? If not, what can I do differently next time?”
Include a specific subject line
In the subject line, include your class, section, and assignment name.
