The Mystery of Mrs. Christie was such a fun read, based on Agatha Christie’s real-life 11-day disappearance. I love Agatha’s books, but I had no clue that she actually disappeared herself. We also don’t fully know why she disappeared. She really did abandon her car and check herself into a hotel under the name of her husband’s mistress. Did she have help?

I did more research and found this site- The National Archives (United Kingdom) with lots of primary sources, which you know I love.

Newspaper stories, police reports, a Home Office inquiry, her marriage and divorce records. The Mystery of Mrs. Christie very closely follows the facts that we do know about this disappearance.

Age Recommendation:

I highly recommend it! It’s suitable for high school students and up.
